Aquatic Finatic opened in 1975 and moved to its current premises two miles from Northallerton in North Yorkshire 2002. Although originally more an Aquatic outlet with over 100 tanks and ponds of tropical, coldwater and pond fish, the shop now also has a thriving small pet section as well as a reptile department. This often stocks Bearded Dragons, snakes, tortoises and scorpions.

Over the years the shop has built up a good reputation for giving helpful service and advice by recommending products they have used and are happy with themselves. With the welfare of pets as the main priority, they offer free water testing, and spend time with customers to make sure that all new pet owners leave with the knowledge they need to care for their new pet.

Weekly deliveries of both dry goods and livestock ensure there is always something new to see, and anything they don't have they are happy to order if available. Other services available from this North Yorkshire pet shop are aquarium installations and maintenance, pond maintenance, small pet and reptile boarding, pet parties and educational visits.
