About

Le Fonti Dog Rescue is a family ran non-profit dog rescue organisation based in Carlisle in the beautiful county of Cumbria. The group is dedicated to saving the lives of dogs who are desperate for help. These can include pound dogs, strays or owner surrenders and who are at risk of losing their life if rescue placement is not found immediately.

Some are on kill lists or owners are taking them to the vet to have them put to sleep. Dogs come in to rescue from all over the UK. There are also dogs with other reasons too such as the owner is being made homeless. The centre often takes very ill and traumatised dogs that need a lot of help.

They are nursed back to health, behaviours are modified where needed and then they are worked upon so they can be placed with a special human in their forever home. Kennels are not used at Le Fonti Dog Rescue as all dogs live in the family environment. This is an important part of their rehabilitation and assessment process. Dogs are neutered, micro chipped, fully vaccinated, health checked, flea'd, wormed and groomed before re homing. Home check and donations apply.
