APA

The Animal Protection Agency (APA) exists to not only lobby government for improved legislation that is focussed on animal’s welfare, but also to research and stop the increasing amount of wildlife trade that takes place - often illegally. Exotic pets have become something of a fashion industry where the owners may not be aware of whether the animal or bird was snatched from the wild or bred in captivity.

APA seeks to spread the message that exotic animals do not always make good pets, and to enable purchasers to make informed choices. APA has enlisted the help of many volunteers throughout the UK, and is always seeking extra members to help them in their missions. Many of these volunteers undertake fund raising events such as sky diving to raise extra money to fund their fight against the exotic animal trade.
